Confidence in the Face of Death
1. Jesus’ disciples were afraid of His intentional travel to Jerusalem to die. (10:32a) 2. Jesus reassured His disciples of God’s plan to hand Him over to: (10:32b-33) a. Enemies from within: The chief priests and scribes b. Enemies from without: The Gentiles 3. Jesus reminded His disciples that His enemies will mock, torture and kill Him. (10:34a) 4. Jesus called His disciples to faith in God’s plan, that death will not win and He will rise again. (10:34b) Application:
