Genesis 12:1-10 | September 3, 2023 | Pastor Justin Bebb “Testing God’s Promises” 1. Abram takes God’s promises into his own hands: a. Temptation: Life is threatened by severe famine. (12:10a) b. Abram’s plan: Move to Egypt. (12:10b) c. Temptation: Worry about safety due to others wanting his wife. (12:11-12) d. Abram’s plan: Deceive others by acting as if she is not his wife. (12:13-15) 2. God kept his promises despite Abram’s unbelief: a. Provides great blessing through Pharaoh’s provisions. (12:16) b. Curses Pharaoh, protected Sarai and blessed Abram greatly. (12:17-10)
