Remembering the First Things and the Promises
1. God created the world and everything in it, including mankind to represent Him. (1-2) 2. God’s promises made: a. If mankind commits treason against God they will be judged by death. (2:16-18) b. One day a descendant of the woman would crush the head of Satan. (3:15) c. He would bless all the people of the earth through Abram. (12:1-3) 3. God’s promises delivered: a. Adam and Eve desired to be like God and God justly judged them for it. (3:1-24) b. God was faithful in preserving the human race. (Genesis 3-11) c. God kept His covenant with Abram even when Abram would not. (12:10-23) 4. God’s promises continue to be the theme. (24:1-25:18) Application:
