Saul suffered persecution and threats of death for proclaiming the gospel. (9:23-25) 3. Saul joined with the church and boldly proclaimed the gospel in Jerusalem. (9:26-30) 4. God advanced His gospel by building up His church and multiplying its number. (9:31)
